Inspired by sun, sea, exclusive resorts and boho looks of the early-1970s, Dennis Basso’s Spring 2009 collection hit the runway Sept. 9 at Fashion Week. Basso, a NJ native, has worked with fur for 25 years and included it in the collection. Animal-rights activists had planned to protest his show, but inside the tents, the mood was largely adoring.
