The crowds at NJ‘s racetracks are dwindling. New Jersey’s horse industry will fail unless the state allows racetracks to run slot machines, according to racing insiders. The only thing likely to rescue the industry — the addition of 1,000s of slot machines in the Meadowlands — faces strong opposition from the casino industry, which says it’s already struggling to compete with so-called racinos in New York and Pennsylvania. Flu shots are mandatory for children
