Making biodiesel

Innovation Fuels is a company in Newark that turns kitchen grease and animal fat into fuel. But the plant doesn’t smell like a refinery or a fast food joint. The raw material comes in through a pipeline and is turned into biodiesel, which is mixed with regular diesel and sold to customers in Europe and the United States.
